Pytronic is a smart home ecosystem built around the proprietary Pytronic Homecore Hub, designed to optimize energy consumption, streamline automation, and support multiple IoT protocols.
We worked closely with the technical director and development team to design and deliver a fully functional mobile application from scratch. The goal was to create an intuitive, scalable, and developer-friendly solution that aligned with smart home industry best practices while enabling seamless expansion of features.
Challenge
Pytronic approached me with an early-stage MVP, seeking a design that would be easy to develop, user-friendly, and highly scalable. While they had a strong technical foundation, they had yet to fully define their smart home ecosystem. Key challenges included:
• Clearly presenting energy consumption metrics.
• Implementing robust automation features.
• Supporting multiple smart home protocols (including Zigbee, Z-Wave, Matter) for seamless partner integration.

Research & Process
In close collaboration with the client, we outlined detailed product requirements and conducted thorough research on industry trends and competitors. With a clear roadmap in place, I started with low-fidelity wireframes to establish user flows and core functionalities. From there, I developed high-fidelity prototypes, focusing on critical interactions such as registering the Homecore Hub and pairing smart devices.
Solution
The final mobile application design provided Pytronic with a comprehensive design system, well-structured user flows, and a cohesive design language. The solution balanced usability, scalability, and technical feasibility, ensuring a smooth development process. Additionally, I created visual assets for UI components and presentation materials to support product launches and stakeholder communications.
